CTE prepares K-12 students for career pathways in the global marketplace by offering experiential learning, post-secondary credits and industry certifications. It also provides them with essential leadership skills through participation in student organizations.

Students develop leadership, technical, and high-level academic skills, equipping them for workforce opportunities and to be lifelong learners.

The vision of Hartselle City Schools Career and Technical Education Program is to create a culture of learning that encourages all students to identify, select, and pursue a career pathway to develop 21st Century skills in order to confidently and successfully transition into a post-secondary career or education.

To promote the development of critical thinking and transferable skills which will assist the student in solving both life and technical problems.
To maintain an educational environment which prepares students with the skills for in-demand careers and to compete in a highly technical and global economy.
