Kindergarten Registration

HCS Kindergarten Registration 2025-2026

Kindergarten Registration will be held from March 3 to March 7, 2025, by Appointment Only (SOLO CON CITA).

  • The Burleson Center (next to the Hartselle Board of Education)
    305 College Street NE
    Hartselle, AL 35640

    • March 3 and 5, 2025 from 8:30 a.m until 4:00 p.m.
    • March 4 and 6, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
    • March 7, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

  • Parents need to schedule their registration appointment

You MUST bring the following documents for registration (even if your child attended Pre-K at Hartselle)

  • Child's Birth Certificate
  • Official Alabama Immunization Record
  • Utility Bill for proof of residency (only document for proof of residence that we accept)
  • Parent/Guardians Driver's License
  • Final Divorce Decree/Custody Documents (if it applies and the children do not live with Both Parents)
  • 504 or IEP (if it applies and your student has one, IT MUST BE FURNISHED AT THE TIME OF ENROLLMENT.

The student must be 5 on or before September 1, 2025 to register for Kindergarten.

Please bring your child with you to registration for a brief assessment. Current Pre-K students, enrolled with Hartselle City Schools, will be assessed at the school. However, parents of current Pre-K students, you will still need to come in to register for Kindergarten. Your child is not automatically enrolled just because they attended Pre-K with Hartselle City Schools. 

Out of District Registration: Upon approval, you will be charged an additional $25.00 non-refundable registration fee in addition to your Out of District tuition.
